Paris+ par Art Basel reveals line-up of 154 premier galleries participating in its second edition, as well as first details of key presentations by returning and new exhibitors

Paris+ par Art Basel announced today the 154 leading galleries participating in its second edition. Exhibitors from 33 countries and territories – including 58 with an exhibition space in France – will be showing engaging solo, duo, and group presentations of work by French and international artists, from 20th-century masters to emerging voices, at the Grand Palais Éphémère from October 20–22, 2023. 138 galleries who participated in the show last year will be returning; in the fair's main sector, Galeries, they include:
Galerie 1900-2000 (Paris) with a display of work by historical representatives of SurrealismApplicat-Prazan (Paris) with a solo booth of rare works by French modernist painter Jean HélionA Gentil Carioca (Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo) with a duo presentation of works by Brazilian Indigenous artist Denilson Baniwa and Afro-Brazilian painter Arjan MartinsAndrew Edlin Gallery (New York) with a dialog between historic and contemporary outsider artists including Paulina Peavy and Karla KnightSelma Feriani Gallery (Tunis, London) with a selection of works by artists from the MENA regionA joint booth between LambdaLambdaLambda (Pristina) and Hannah Hoffman (Los Angeles) featuring work by Nora Turato, Dominique Knowles, and Hana Miletić, among othersPace Gallery (New York, Geneva, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Palm Beach, Seoul) with a dialog between historic and contemporary works by artists from the gallery’s roster, including Jean Dubuffet, Torkwase Dyson, Loie Hollowell, and Agnes MartinTornabuoni Art (Paris, Florence, Milan, Forte dei Marmi, Crans Montana, Rome) with a group presentation showcasing Postwar Italian masters
The returning exhibitors to Galeries Émergentes, the sector for solo presentations by emerging galleries, are:
LC Queisser (Tbilisi) with a suite of small-scale works by Elene Chantladze, a recently discovered, septuagenarian artist from GeorgiaMarfa' (Beirut) with a project by Lebanese photographer Mohamad Abdouni investigating the life of trans people in his native countryParliament (Paris) with a series of ceramic sculptures by French artist Charlotte Dualésans titre (Paris) with paintings and a video by Baltimore-born, Paris-based First Nations artist Séquoia Scavulloseventeen (London) with an immersive video installation exploring cryptozoology and queer ecology by Joey Holder
Four galleries who participated in the Galeries Émergentes sector in 2022 will be graduating to the fair’s main sector this year, further increasing its stimulating variety. Each will be showing a focused selection of artists from their roster. These galleries are:

The Galeries sector will also be enriched by seven galleries of international significance, known for their rigorous programs and unique profiles, who did not participate in the fair last year. They are:
Blum & Poe (Los Angeles, New York, Tokyo) with a solo booth of sculptures by self-taught African American artist Lonnie HolleyBortolami (New York) with a duo presentation of works by Brazilian textile artist Leda Catunda and American abstract painter Mary Oberingkurimanzutto (Mexico City and New York) with an array of works by Latin American and international artists from the gallery's rosterLandau Fine Art (Montreal) with masterpieces by 20th-century artists such as Jean Arp, Marc Chagall, and Pablo PicassoJan Mot (Brussels) with a group presentation representative of the gallery’s conceptual program, exploring portraiture and identity politicsRichard Nagy Ltd. (London) with a selection of rare works by representatives of the early 20-century German and Austrian avant-garde, such as Egon Schiele and Otto DixP.P.O.W (New York) with a duo presentation of historical works by Queer American artists Peter Hujar and David Wojnarowicz
