PALM BEACH, FL- October 12, 2010- International Fine Art Expositions (IFAE) announces the details of Art Palm Beach, 2011. A fixture of South Florida's contemporary art scene for 13 years, Art Palm Beach has become one of the most influential contemporary art fairs on Florida's Gold Coast. In 2011, Art Palm Beach will again gather 75 of the world's most prestigious galleries, representing approximately 1,200 of the most innovative artists from across the globe.

The carefully selected presentation will feature all forms of contemporary art including painting, sculpture, photography, design, fine art glass, video and installations from modern art to new cutting-edge artists. Art Palm Beach will offer the community an extensive lecture and panel series from some of the art world's leading experts. To enhance collector's art fair experience, Art Palm Beach will continue its commitment to support major art installations by conceptual artists and introduce a curatorial exhibition program by elected curators. Through this cohesive and unique program, Art Palm Beach will deliver a dynamic art fair that will meet the high standards of the distinguished exhibitors and collectors that attend the fair each year.

Art Palm Beach will feature a number of the world's most forward-thinking artists from over 16 countries. Featured exhibitions will include a one-man exhibition from world-renowned sculptor, Albert Paley. Paley, one of the leading American metal sculptors, was the first metal sculptor to receive the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Institute of Architects. The special exhibition will include the scale model of "Animals Always", a 130 foot piece recently commissioned for the Saint Louis Zoo, in addition to some of his more recent works. Gordon Halloran will be exhibiting "Museum of Ice", a 65 foot installation by the Canadian born artist. Halloran has created a new art form and public phenomenon, painting in ice. Curator Gary Krimershmoys, will be presenting a historically significant installation of Post Soviet Contemporary Art that will include a panel discussion with Stella Kesaeva, Commissioner of the Russian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale.

Art Palm Beach's annual lecture series and panel discussion highlights will include Collecting Trends in the Ceramic Marketplace, a lecture given by Peter Held, Curator of Ceramics, ASU Art Museum and Ceramics Research Center. Photography, Video Art and Contemporary Art- How each Form Converges into the Art of Today, lecturers will include: Kara Walker Tome, curator; Elaine Mordes, collector; Michael Rush, curator. From Sand Drawing to Synthetic Polymer in Aboriginal Contemporary Art, a lecture on the Aboriginal sand design that has influenced contemporary Aboriginal art, led by Dr. Margo Smith, Director and Curator of the Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection of the University of Virginia. A compelling lecture by Gean Moreno entitled, Architecture and Art. Collecting Chinese Photography, a discussion led by Dale Anderson, collector; Becky Mayer, collector; Chris Mao, curator; Chris Phillips, curator for the International Center for Photography; and collector, Diane Krane.

Gallery exhibition highlights include sculptures by Yves Klein and Niki de St. Phalie, Gallery De Buck, New York (USA); paintings by Marc Quinn, Rudolf Budja Gallery, Salzburg (Austria); a one man exhibition by Lino Tagliapietra, Shantz Gallery, Stockbridge (USA); new works by internationally renowned designer Rolf Sachs by Priveekollektie Contemporary Art & Design Gallery Heusden (The Netherlands). Among the photography highlights include artists Chi Peng, Qiu Zhijie, Hong Lei, Hong Hao, Rong Rong, and Yin Xiuzhen presented by Chambers Gallery, New York (USA) and Beijing (China); Hendrik Kerstens by Witzenhausen Gallery, New York (USA) and Amsterdam (The Netherlands). The Holden Luntz Gallery, Palm Beach (USA); will be featuring an exhibition of outstanding photography from celebrated photographers Nick Brant, Carol Beckwith, and Angela Fisher.

In 2010, Art Palm Beach broke attendance records and left exhibitors in high spirits after its five-day run at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. An estimated crowd of 20,000 people attended, including a single-day venue record of 6,000 during the fair's opening preview night, which marked the largest art opening for any contemporary fair in Palm Beach history.
