Culture and Festivities Abound in Greenwich over Memorial Day Weekend 2012

SeaFair Returns for a Spring Edition of Art Greenwich

Greenwich, CT - April 4, 2012 – Following the success of Art Greenwich this past fall, art fair organizing firm, International Fine Art Expositions (IFAE), will host a new spring edition of Art Greenwich 2012. Once again taking place aboard the luxurious one-of-a-kind venue SeaFair, the 228-foot megayacht will return to the Delamar Greenwich Harbor for a 5-day spree of fine art, music, food and festivities, May 24th – 28th.

The spring edition will feature a juried ensemble of over 25 international galleries. The collection will include a bevy of unique paintings, functional art & design and haute jewelry.

“With the public’s confidence in the art market at an all time high – and being able to hold this event concurrently with the amazing Greenwich Town Party over Memorial Day weekend, which is already sold out with Paul Simon as the headlining performer – we have every reason to expect our dealers will have great success in Greenwich in May, ” said IFAE Principal, David Lester. Further information on the Greenwich Town Party may be viewed at greenwichtownparty.com.

SeaFair will be docked at the Delamar Greenwich Harbor, 500 Steamboat Road, May 25th – 28th. A by-invitation-only Preview evening will take place May 24th. Fair hours will be Friday & Saturday 11am – 9 pm and Sunday & Monday 11 am – 7 pm. Tickets can be purchased on the website for an advance discounted ticket price. About SeaFair

SeaFair is the world's first mobile megayacht venue and one of the ten largest privately owned yachts in the United States. Groundbreaking in scale, ingenuity and style, the yacht - which remains dockside during each event - pairs international fine art, jewelry and collectables with harbor view dining and special events in cities along the eastern seaboard.

The $40M purpose built yacht was designed by internationally acclaimed yacht designer Luiz De Basto. At 228 feet and 2800 international tons, it is the largest ship built for commercial operation in the Intracoastal Waterway and requires a draft of only 6.5 feet allowing it to dock at small yacht facilities in central city locations rather than use commercial ports.

About the Organizers

The creative concept of SeaFair was developed by International Fine Art Expositions (IFAE) - a leader in organizing prestigious art fairs throughout the world.

IFAE has pioneered more international fine art fairs than any global fair organizer since 1991, having established major fairs in Miami Beach, Palm Beach, Chicago, New York, Beverly Hills, Dallas, and Hong Kong. The clientele for IFAE's major land-based fairs include many of the most important galleries and collectors in the world.
