The auction offered a number of signed letters, books and photographs from every-sitting President of the United States, from Harry Truman to Bill Clinton. The most highly-sought after item was a color photograph inscribed to Frank by four former presidents: Ronald Reagan, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter and Richard Nixon, which sold for $68,750 – well over its estimate of $15,000. Bidders also competed for a presentation copy of John F. Kennedy’s Profiles in Courage, which sold for $16,250 (estimate $6/8,000) and a Camp David Presidential Flag presented to Frank by Ronald Reagan, which sold for $16,250 (estimate $7/9,000).
