Untitled (Copper Knots#5, 1989) von Sherrie Levine (*1947) ist ganz im Sinne der Appropriation Art die Transformation einer Sperrholzplatte mit malerischen Mitteln. Untitled (Copper Knots#5) gehört zu der Serie der sogenannten Knot Paintings, die Sherrie Levine in den Jahren 1987, 1988 und 2002 anfertigte. Ausgangspunkt sind Sperrholzplatten - das Material, aus dem Transportkisten für Gemälde und Skulpturen gefertigt werden. Levine kehrt diese Beziehung um, indem sie eine Sperrholzplatte als Bildträger gemalter, sie durchbrechender Astknoten benutzt. Untitled (Copper Knots#5) wurde unmittelbar nach seiner Entstehung im Rahmen der Whitney Biennale 1989 im New Yorker Whitney Museum of American Art ausgestellt und ist mit einem Schätzwert von £60.000-80.000 versehen.

Weitere Arbeiten aus der Sammlung Goetz, die am Abend des 13. Februars angeboten werden, sind Striptease (2007, £30.000- 40.000) von Matthias Weischer (*1973), Pumpkin (1980, Schätzwert: £150.000-200.000) von Yayoi Kusama (* 1929), Untitled (2009, Schätzwert: £120.000-180.000) von Wade Guyton (* 1972) und die Papierarbeit Untitled (1993, Schätzwert: £40.000- 60.000) von Toba Khedoori (* 1964).

Am 14. Februar 2013 kommen in der Tagesauktion Post-War and Contemporary Art weitere 63 Arbeiten aus der Sammlung Goetz zum Aufruf – u.a. von Kelley Walker (* 1969) Untitled (2009, Schätzwert: £70.000-100.000) und Peter Fischli (* 1952) & David Weiss (1946-2012) Les Repos des Canards (Ducks at Rest) (1983, Schätzwert: £100.000-150.000).

Den Abschluss bilden 57 Arbeiten, die am 17. April 2013 in der Post-War and Contemporary Art Auktion in South Kensington angeboten werden – darunter Tracey Emins (*1963) Just love me (1998, Schätzwert: £30.000-40.000).
