The New York Jewels Auction is also set to feature an impressive selection of period jewels. A late 19th century antique diamond tiara, set with circular-cut diamonds, converts seamlessly to a fringe necklace. Also included is an antique Etruscan Revival necklace, circa 1875, which is comprised of alternating leaves and beaded rod pendants, together with its original fitted box, mounted in 18K gold. A René Lalique Art Nouveau Enamel and Pearl Pendant, circa 1896, will also be featured in the sale. Designed as a jester applied with pink and blue enamel, the pendant suspends a pearl, mounted in 18K yellow gold. Similar examples are housed in the permanent collections of The Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam and The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Richmond.
