World Art Day is an international celebration of art, which was declared by the International Association of Art (IAA/AIAP), a partner of UNESCO, to promote awareness of creative activity worldwide. The first World Art Day was held on April 15th, 2012, a date chosen in honor of Leonardo da Vinci's birthday in 1452. As a symbol of world peace, freedom of expression and tolerance, da Vinci is also a testament to the influence of the Fine Arts on other fields.
In this virtual show we highlight several kinds of artworks, not only original sculptures, unique paintings and photo art but also prints and our publications. Since Galleri GKM started in 1967 the operation of editing graphics and art books has played an important role through the journey of the gallery. Therefore we have chosen to show some of our editions and books in this exhibition.
